JORI

History:
The purpose of Ing. Jozef Dúbravsky project was to design optimal technical solution for mobile robot control with the help of radio connection together with the inbuild of control system in the future.

Utilization:
Nowadays, the remote controlled mobile robot devices are used as transport systems. Robotic system JORI 01 was four- wheeled mobile platform that was built according to the principle of modularity, that is primary used for educational purposes.

Construction and control:
Was creates the general conception of superior communication system, that was modified to satisfy the demand of the concret type of mobile robotic device was created Robotic system bol based one the Tamiya 58231 Wild Dagger idle bogie. The whole project was suppose to create system that can work independently As it is complex problem, realised prototype performs functions such as speed regulation, electric and mechanic constants measurements and regulation of robot movement is reserved for distant superiorsystem. On the Tamiya 58231 Wild Dagger idle boogie, the superior operating subsystem module for master drive with processor AT89S8252 was installed, radio modem RM-350 by MicroStep – MIS, temperature and voltage,Robot is equipped with two identical motors Speed 600. Communication with robotic device is lead by radio data set MicroStep company –MIS , RM-350 type. As the main communication element in their connection, the modules BiM-433-F made by english company Radiometrix Ltd. are used.

Technical parameters:

Control: microprocesor Atmel AT89S8252
Drive: 2x motors of class Speed 600
Comunications with PC: radio modems RM 350
Power: Sanyo 3000 mAh 6-pack
Highness: 180 mm
Length: 390 mm
Width: 315 mm

Conclusion:
Functional prototype of mobile robotic device JORI 01 has its further vyuzitie in educational process. Conception enables connection of other subsystems and verify the ability of their cooperation.
